Riley enrolled with Open Access College in 2016 as a year 12 student to complete his SACE while training tirelessly to become the best he could in his chosen sport of soccer. His goal was to be offered a contract by a club in Europe, Asia or Australia. Riley began playing soccer as a four year old after missing registration with the local Australian rules football club in Gawler. During 2016 his persistent will and mental toughness was rewarded with a contract to play with the Adelaide United Football Club where he has become part of the starting 11 each match. This was achieved while managing to successfully complete SACE. Now Riley prepares to make his debut for the Socceroos when Australia faces Iran in Tehran.
