Marden Education Centre Library

Welcome to the Library for 2017. A team of Library staff are available to assist students and parent/supervisors. We have an extensive range of resources you can access either via the library system on the OAC website, or we can send them out to you. We have resources to assist students with their study, assignments and also recreation.

Library Assembly for R-6 students every Wednesday

This year we will be holding a Library Assembly each Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm during term time. This session is for all R-6 students from both the Marden and SOTA campuses. It is not compulsory but we would love to see the students there to join in the storytelling and activities loosely organised around a theme each week.

Premiers Reading Challenge

Students at all year levels can join in the Premiers Reading Challenge. To complete the Challenge students need to read 12 books and fill out the titles on the form. Forms are available from: http://www.premiersreadingchallenge.sa.edu.au/prc Click on the link for the form that suits your year level in the section Student Reading Record (Student Reading Record for Schools). Students can also request a copy of the form be sent to them when they borrow books. Certificates and medals will be sent to students when they are delivered to the library in term 4.

Flipster is here!

We have some magazines available online via Flipster. To access the magazines go to the Library Link on the OAC website http://www.openaccess.edu.au/about/library and Click on the Ebsco databases link. You will need to use the user name: marden and the password is: library. Click on Flipster and check out the magazines available.

These are currently being sent out to students if they are required. If you have any queries or would like resources sent out, please contact the Library.
