Merit Awards are presented to students for exceptional achievement in SACE Board-accredited subjects: the top 2% of the students who achieve A+ in that subject.
Open Access College congratulates the 6 OAC students who gained a merit in the following subjects for 2016:
- Business and Enterprise – Gabrielle
- Geography – Darcy Whittaker
- Health – Kaitlin and Simone
- Nutrition– Paul
- Psychology – Imilla Dunn (Imilla was also recognised at the APACS awards)
These students and their families attended a SACE Merit Ceremony on Tuesday 6 February, 2017 at Government House.
Another 8 OAC students achieved an A+ in their subject without receiving the merit. These are:
- Business and Enterprise – Katie Shipard and Branden
- Child Studies – Emily Cameron
- Health – Alana Simes
- Legal Studies – Brianna and Kaylee Fietz
- Spanish (Continuers) – Tex
- Workplace Practices – Riley
