Parents Concern and Complaints Policy

3 May 2017

Policy Review

Effective partnerships between parents, families, and schools support children’s learning and lead to better learning outcomes. The whole school community benefits when parental engagement is an integral part of school planning and improvement processes.

OAC has always welcomed parental input. We also recognised that at times issues arise and some parents are not sure of the best way to raise their concerns. To assist with this OAC had developed a Parents Concern and Complaints Policy (Pdf - 495Kb) and a Parent guide to raising concerns or complaints (Pdf 125Kb), both of which are readily available on the OAC Website.

The college takes this opportunity to seek feedback on the OAC Parents Concern and Complaints policy from the parent, student and staff community as part of its bi-annual review of this policy. Daniel Bayer, Assistant Principal Student Welfare, will lead the review so please look at the policy on the website and forward any written comments to Daniel at Daniel.Bayer@openaccess.edu.au by Friday the 2nd June 2017.
