Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will undertake the NAPLAN (National Assessment Program, Literacy and Numeracy) over three days in the week beginning 15th May.
Marden students will undertake the elements of the NAPLAN on the following days:
- Tuesday 16th May – Language conventions and writing
- Wednesday 17th May – Reading
- Thursday 18th May – Numeracy
SOTA students will participate in the NAPLAN at the school experience week.
Results from the NAPLAN are used by teachers to improve learning programs for all students and also to cater for individual needs.
The school and also the families will receive detailed reports highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of a range of students skills in the area of reading, writing, language convention and numeracy.
In general, WebEx lesson will proceed throughout the week with the NAPLAN taking place around these times. Teachers are aware of the time demands in completing the NAPLAN and will reduce extra work requirements throughout this week.
